 Chakra Activation - do it yourself

You can balance and activate your own chakras by using the following meditation in connection with gemstones, colours and essential oils.


Before you start, you want to familiarise yourself with the location of the chakras. The seven Major chakras, see above diagram and reference chart, are located along the spine in your body. Your earth star chakra is about 15 cm below your feet and connects you to your place in this world (physical grounding). Your soul star chakra, containing information about your sacred contract and purpose for this lifetime (divine connection) extends out approximately 15 cm above your head. 


Create yourself a sacred space, turn off the phone, if possible lock the door and allow at least half an hour of uninterrupted time. Use soothing background music to compliment the experience. If available, you can prepare your cleansed chakra stones by rubbing them with one of the suggested essential oils.


Place the stones within your reach on the surface (floor or bed) you will lie on. Stretch out flat on your back next to them. Become aware of your breathing. Consciously tune into each chakra, one at a time. Slowly and deliberately place the stones starting at the earth star point below your feet. Place each stone on it’s associated chakra on your body, finishing with the soul star above your head.


When you have placed your final stone at the soul star point, imagine your body being filled with it’s white light. Take another deep breath and let go of your thoughts, relax and make yourself very comfortable.


Visualise a sphere of vibrant light spinning above your body. See it changing into the colour related to the chakra you focus on - again start with the earth star and work your way up from there. Breathe into the sphere to intensify the colour and sense the sphere slowly blending into your energy field at it’s chakra point. Stay with the sensation until it feels natural, then move on to the next chakra.

Give yourself at least 15 minutes with the stones still on your body so your chakras can synchronise with their frequency and align themselves. When you feel a sense of completion, remove each stone, starting from the top. 


If a stone falls off or moves during the session, let it be, it usually know’s what it is doing.
